In a recent letter to the editor, Mercedes writes how Jody Stahancyk has inspired her.
"At the Crook County High School graduation, Jody Stahancyk addressed the 'grit' unique to the Crook County community. Being from Prineville I appreciate Jody's message, but more importantly I appreciate her actions to support those of us who hail from Crook County. For example, Jody has recently given me a great opportunity to work as an associate attorney at Stahancyk, Kent and Hook, because I am from Crook County. Every member of our community should strive to promote Crook County as Jody does."
