The Managing Shareholder of the firm's Portland office was named one of Portland's "Forty Under 40."
“I’m thrilled to be a part of such a distinguished group,” said Hook. “Each year, we go through this list and it’s always such a who’s who of Portland and the amazing businesses this city possesses. It’s a very humbling experience for both myself and this firm to be included in 2012.”
Hook specializes in complex divorce litigation, custody matters and estate planning, and is a member of both the Oregon State Bar and Washington State Bar associations. An alumna of the University of Oregon and Seattle University School of Law, she has been with Stahancyk, Kent & Hook since 1999, being elected a shareholder in 2004.
Among her accomplishments, Hook has been named a Rising Star by SuperLawyers Magazine the past four consecutive years of the publication. The publication honors top attorneys nationwide. She spearheads the firm’s annual “Dress for Success” clothing drive, a program that donates interview-appropriate clothing for low-income Oregon women. Child Centered Solutions, recently named among the top 25 education nonprofit organizations in Oregon by the Portland Business Journal, is based out of Stahancyk, Kent & Hook’s Portland office. Last February, Hook conducted an energetic and informative presentation at a continuing legal education seminar at Lewis and Clark Law School. Her presentation, titled “Divorce and the Role of the Business Lawyer”, focused on the impact family law can have on small, closely held businesses.
