Deanna Rusch Honored as one of the "Accomplished and Under 40"
Deanna Rusch was honored as one of the "Accomplished and Under 40". A luncheon was held at the Vancouver Heathman Lodge and was sponsored by the Vancouver Business Journal. Deanna was one of 22 individuals selected by a panel of "Accomplished and Under 40 alumni" nominated by members of the community. Deanna was the only attorney chosen. Deanna was nominated by Joe Hurley, a local businessman and connected in the Vancouver area/community.

Oregon courts do not have the authority to order “joint custody” unless agreed to by both parents (ORS 107.169). A joint custody arrangement can be positive for parents who can continue to constructively communicate and engage in joint legal decision-making for their children after the divorce is final. What happens when the parties do not agree and joint custody just isn’t feasible? One parent gets sole custody.
