The club, coached by shareholder Joel Kent, took first place at the prestigious tournament.

The Rimrock 18s National team won first place at the Longview Platinum Volleyball Tournament, a major club volleyball tournament consisting of the top teams in both Oregon and Washington.
"I'm ecstatic," said Kent. "I'm proud of the players. It's the first time we can say we are No. 1 in Oregon and Washington."
After finishing tied for first during pool play, the team played a tiebreaking game against the No. 1 team in Washington. As a tactical move, Kent went with some of his lesser-used players for the big game in an attempt to rest his regular starters for the tournament's later rounds.
"I strategized and thought if I rested our starters, their legs would be fresher in the afternoon. We played several players that don't always get a lot of playing time and they went out and beat them," Kent said. "We were jumping up and down. It was phenomenal."
